Leitner Torrey Electric Bike Overview
The Leitner Torrey is built to turn a blocked road into a detour worth taking. Its dual air suspension and wide 20 × 4″ fat tyres soak up sand, loose rock and rutted trails without breaking stride, while the low, easy step-through frame means you can hop on and off without a second thought. A responsive torque sensor reads how hard you’re pedalling and matches the assist to it, so the power feels like your own rather than bolted on. When the trail throws a surprise your way, hydraulic disc brakes bring you to a confident, controlled stop. Loaded up with gear or riding light, the Torrey stays planted and ready for the next detour — twist the throttle and it just goes.

Leitner Torrey Electric Bike Features
Every detail on the Torrey earns its place — together they turn an ordinary ride into something you look forward to.
Dual Air Suspensions
Up front, the air suspension gives you an adjustable 90mm of travel; out back, another 34mm works alongside it, both tuned to play nicely with the 20″ x 4″ fat tyres. The fork adds hydraulic lockout, preload adjustment and air-compression tuning, so you can dial the ride in for whatever’s underneath you — rocky singletrack, wet sand, muddy slopes or dusty fire trails — and stay comfortable all day.
Power on Demand
A 250W hub motor puts out 60Nm of torque, and paired with the 48V 15Ah Samsung battery cells, there’s plenty in reserve for steep climbs and rough ground. It’s built to shrug off the hard stuff, keeping the ride smooth wherever the track takes you.
Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels are paired with 180mm rotors front and rear for strong, dependable stopping power. A motor cut-off function adds an extra layer of control, and the comfort-grip levers make braking responsive without wearing out your hands.
Safety Certified Integrated Samsung-Cells Battery
The removable 48V 15Ah (720Wh) battery pack uses Samsung cells and sits semi-integrated into the frame — barely visible but good for up to 70km of range on flat ground. It’s certified to IEC 62133-2:2017 + A1:2021, in line with NSW’s 2025 legislative requirements.
Certificate Mark: OZC-250804-EA — check it on the JASANZ database.
Built-in Torque Sensor
A built-in torque sensor adjusts the motor’s output to match how hard you’re pedalling, so the assist feels natural rather than sudden. It’s also kinder to the battery, since the motor only delivers the power you’re actually asking for.
All-Terrain Versatility
The 20″ x 4″ magnesium-alloy wheels and fat tyres are built for whatever surface you throw at them — tough construction, anti-puncture protection and plenty of shock absorption. Better grip and less vibration add up to a smoother, more stable ride across sand, gravel, mud or anything else the trail serves up.
Safety Lights — Be Seen All the Time
The front light uses precision optics to light your way and help others see you coming. Its lightweight aluminium-alloy housing keeps it running cool, and it’s fully waterproof, so it holds up just as well on a wet commute as it does on a weekend trail ride.
Colour LCD Display
A colour LCD display keeps your speed, distance, battery voltage and pedal-assist level in view at all times, and a built-in USB port rounds out a genuinely useful dash.
Large Rear Rack Capacity
The rear rack is rated to carry up to 25kg, so groceries, a child seat or your everyday gear are all fair game. Just strap the load down securely so nothing shifts into the wheel or drivetrain.
7-Speed Shimano Gears
Thumb-shifted Shimano gears give you extra pedal power on the climbs and a higher cadence on the flats, backed by a non-slip grip for confident control. And yes, there’s a bell — it rings.

What torque does Leitner Torrey have?
A built-in torque sensor adjusts motor output to match your pedalling effort for a smoother, more responsive ride. It also improves battery efficiency by roughly 10–15% and gives you finer control, especially on hills.
